of the items of a rider’s equipment liable to extreme
wear, and a high degree of tensile strength is needed. Selection
of leather, therefore, is of the utmost importance. Jeffries
use only the finest grades of stirrup butts which are thicker
than normal bridle leather. Stainless steel buckles are hand-sewn
in with heavy gauge hand-waxed thread for additional security.

Buffalo Hide Leathers

may stretch, but will not break under normal circumstances.
They are chrome-tanned, a chemical tanning process for added
